Yesterday, my blog friend, Sawal Guru posted an article on stay over implementation of 27% OBC reservation in Higher Educational Institutes like IIM and IIT. My this post is in that context.
This young child is not able to study, where are our those reservation supporters? Isn't it better to provide him basic primary education, so that he can at least be a responsible citizen.
Here, I'd like to narrate an old incident...
My friend's father is working for a pvt. firm since 15 years. He worked day and night, apart from his regular jobs, he did some part time jobs and anyhow after long struggle he collected 4-5 lakhs of rupees, so that he can now manage to pay fees for her daughter's medical entrance coaching and her fees etc. He spent around 2-3 lakhs for her coaching. She also worked a lot, although she was an average student, she worked really hard to get through the entrance examination.
When the result was declared, she was only few marks short of cut off and the a boy who secured around 30% less than her was selected, we all know why? And it was when he belonged to a family, which was not at all short of anything, they had money, bungalow, power...
Now those who support reservation, just tell me, who is being discriminated, a general class one or a scheduled class one.
We blame our forefathers of being unjust to lower caste, but:
Should present be punished because of past?
Is reservation in higher institutes a solution for their upliftment? Can't anything else be done?
Can't they be provided with better educational opportunities?
Can't they be given free education only so that those who are really good ones, may come forward?
Do you know how many of those reserved are able to even pass easily in those higher studies examinations? They stumble several times during their studies and few even leave in between.
There are many more questions, which are still answered.
In few organizations, reservation is as high as 49-51%. This is entirely a political stunt. Every now and then, communities coming on the road to include them under reserved category.
This fire has been lit up by our beloved politicians,(Our "beloved" minister Arjun Singh, who has started this again) which are no less than the British, rather I would say worse than them.
The British were dividing other people, but these politicians, they are following the same policy "Divide and Rule" on their own people. What for, lust of power, seat, vote banks?
We say in India, we follow "sam dharma sambhav". It seems good in words only, the actuality is worse. We are no less than a puppet in hands of politicians, who are busy filling their houses with money, let India go to...
The need of the hour is to get up as one identity and uproot those bloody politicians. This is not one hour or one day job, only a revolution can change it now. But, now we'll have to wake up from our sleep and not allow them to attack on our unity.
Here is a Joke on the same (posted by my blog friend Beekay)
