SpiderMan is back (A Review)

May be I'm very late to put up this. But after seeing movie yesterday, I couldn't resist myself writing something about it.

Here goes the Spiderman, whoosh, the new spiderman, the new outfit for some time, the outfit which overwhelms him, overshadows his true identity, arouses his anger... wow, the animations are truly superb.

Although, the story is just so so (average one) but the new outfit is really overwhelming. With nifty new villains, a revived Green Goblin, plus $300 million worth of aerial special effects, Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3 is definitely good to go. There are digital effects galore to remind us that Sony is a high-tech company, particularly when a new super-villain, the Sandman, is transformed into a living sandstorm and pulverises bits of Manhattan.

The juiciest of the factors is spidey v/s spidey. Peter shuns his new outfit to control himself and the outfit is taken up by his rival photographer, who now wants to become a bad person and wants to kill original spidey with the help of Sandman.
Harry has been a likable character at the end, by helping spidey, when he's just being beaten by the super-villains.

The last words by Peter are touching,"It is you, who has to decide, whether to go for right or wrong, Harry opted for truth (similar to that)."
The movie says,"Every hero has a choice - to face the darkness or be consumed by it."

So, If you've not watched it till now and you like to watch action pack and thrill, go for it. You'd love it.

Aish-Abhi Marriage

Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachhan's Marriage

It has become a hot news, even hotter than UP politics or crores of scams. Media is busy in coverage of Aish-Abhi Marriage. Our so called fast news channels are busy whole day at "Prateeksha", Amitabh's place, where function is being held.
They don't bother to cover anything else, no politics, no sports, no other piece of entertainment, no India, just Aishwarya and Abhishek.

You can see every moment of their functions (ladies sangeet, mehndi, now it will be marriage etc.) live at TV, but sorry, you won't be able to see what is going on in the country.

Yeah, this is the right time to do scandals and scams. Media will pay no attention towards these pretty small things, even if the scam involves crores of rupees, Aish-Abhi marriage is the most important.

I don't know why, but we people are so interested in these foolish gossips, what Aishwarya and Abhishek are going to wear today?, What functions are going on?, Is Salman coming or not?
All types of media are busy serving these foolish and gossipy news. News papers are 'using' their full pages for coverage.

Interestingly, another thought strikes my mind, are these media people serving us, what we require or is it just they need some coverage? It may be true that most of us are more interested in finding more about this hot marriage rather than looking on what is going in Supreme court about OBC reservation case or such other things.

Gandhigiri

Gandhigiri, a new era, Thanks to Indian Cinema, specially Rajkumar Hirani, who worked out the concept so well that it really puts the principles of Mahatma Gandhi in a right perspective.

Most of us had forgotten the principles given Gandhi ji: Truth, non-violence, fight for justice, simplicity and lots more. Before this movie,"Lage Raho MunnaBhai", probably several people from us were unaware of Gandhian principles, probably never bothered to peep into those principles.

Would you be bold enough to stand up and accept your fault after losing all the money of your father in shares? Would you regret and then commit yourself? Here Gandhigiri teaches us the meaning of commitment, standing up and being bold enough to accept your mistake and agree to rectify it... Didn't your eyes got wet on that scene?

An official asking for bribe, put to shame by a retired schoolmaster by giving away all what he has, didn't you cheer for it loudly?

The film never goes preachy, never trying to teach us, instead it hits the mind as well as heart, making us feel shameful for what we are...

Gandhi has been a forgotten figure for most of us, before this movie. We learnt about Gandhi in our history textbooks. Some of us also saw Ben Kingsley play Gandhi in the Richard Attenborough movie. In schools, colleges, govt. departments, he had been a photograph only, now into limelight....

Every year, on 2nd october, some shows, plays are performed, documentaries released, articles and posts published. The day ends, everything finishes off and next day starts with something new in mind. Life carries on. Let's resolve, its not again this time. I'm not talking about others, but may be first I'll have to change myself too.

Transformation begins from yourself only... Bande me tha Dum, Vande Matarm
