The Story of Tiny Frogs

Life's lesson

There once was a bunch of tiny frogs,.. who arranged a running competition.
The goal was to reach the top of a very high tower .

A big crowd had gathered around the tower to see the race and cheer on the contestants...

The race began...

Honestly: No one in crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the top of the tower.

You heard statements such as:
"Oh, WAY too difficult!!
or
They will NEVER make it to the top."
or
"Not a chance that they will succeed. The tower is too high!"

The tiny frogs began collapsing. One by one...
... Except for those who in a fresh tempo were climbing higher and higher...

The crowd continued to yell
"It is too difficult!!! No one will make it!"

More tiny frogs got tired and gave up...

...But ONE continued higher and higher and higher...
This one wouldn't give up!

At the end everyone else had given up climbing the tower.
Except for the one tiny frog who after a big effort was the only one who reached the top!

THEN all of the other tiny frogs naturally wanted to know how this one frog managed to do it?

A contestant asked the tiny frog how the one who succeeded had found the strength to reach the goal?

It turned out...
That the winner was DEAF!!!!

The wisdom of this story is:
Never listen to other people's tendencies to be negative or pessimistic...
…cause they take your most wonderful dreams and wishes away from you., the ones you have in your heart!

Always think of the power words have.
Because everything you hear and read will affect your actions!

Therefore:
ALWAYS be… POSITIVE!

And above all:
Be DEAF when people tell YOU that YOU can not fulfil YOUR dreams!

Positive Attitude & Will Power

History shows, there had been several persons, who did not get their basic education, who did not have money to make them rich, did not have resources to make them stand, never had favourable conditions, still they were successful. Not just successful, several reached the pinnacle.

Isn't it amazing for those, who always blame the external factors for not getting the things right. Have we ever thought of it, what we really want to do?
Have you ever thought, whether you are really willing to achieve?

Probably not and here we lack.

Abraham Lincoln, Sachin Tendulkar, Rajendra Prasad and there are several others who fought and ultimately won.

All these great personalities had a rock solid will power and a positive outlook, which was never shaken by even strongest of the forces.
The question arises, how to develop or improve the positive attitude and strong will power?

I know its easy to say, but difficult to do, still we must try and work on it.
I can suggest just few tips, they can really work well.
  1. Self Analysis: Everyday take out some time for yourself, at least 15-20 minutes. Analyse yourself. Identify your achievements and pitfalls of the day and the methods to improve upon them.
  2. Take out time for good habits: Try to devote at least 30 minutes everyday for morning exercise or a brisk walk or meditation. This will help in developing positive attitude and strengthening your will power.
  3. Set yourself an achievable, but difficult goal with a date for reaching it: Build yourself a willpower game around a particular goal. Perhaps it could be giving up sleep, losing a certain amount of weight, or reading a particular number of books. Organized events such as fun-runs are also good. But remember it should be achievable.
  4. Try to ban yourself from putting anything off: Every day we get tasks which can be done immediately, but usually aren't. Good examples are paying the bills, emptying the dishwasher, or starting a college assignment. Try to curb these activities and start immediately.
  5. Focus your efforts: Focussing sunlight on a paper may burn it within few seconds, although scattered light can never do it. The earlier in life you learn this simple fact, the more likely you will overcome everything that slows you down and prevents you from true success in everything you do.
and there's lots more, which has to be discussed in later posts...

Don't Quit

Repeat post from Ibibo (with some changes)

When things go wrong, as they sometime will,
When the road you're trudging, seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't you quit ...

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about.
When he might have won had he stuck it out:
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow –
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the Goal is nearer than,
it seems to a faint and faltering man.
Often the struggler has given up,
when he might have captured the victor's cup.
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown?

Success is failure turned inside out –
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt
And you never can tell how close you are.
It may be near when it seems so far:
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit –
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

Did you know
A MOTORCYCLE CRASH 25 years ago changed AL FOXX from a healthy 19-year old to a person with a brain injury and partial paralysis. After years in rehabilitation, he went from being a hot tar roofer to becoming an extraordinary comic and a widely sought after speaker whose storytelling ability and contagious enthusiasm brings laughter and hope to audiences of all ages—from fortune 500 companies to universities, government agencies, churches, schools and comedy clubs. He is the founder and president of the Winners Don’t Quit Association.
So, don't quit, just give another try, and may be its all yours this time......

Attitude is everything

Success, the word sounds so energetic and powerful, that it generally hides the surrounding words.

For what do we work? We do work to succeed, but does everyone attains success, why does it happen, that few reach the pinnacle, few remain where they are.

Its the matter of attitude, rather positive attitude.

You might ask, what is this attitude? I think that once we have accepted what lies within our thoughts, we can actually start working upon how we ‘want’ to look at that particular person, situation or thing, this is attitude.

You might have heard about the story of half filled glass. A glass is half filled with water, one person sees it as half empty and other person sees it as half full. Now, that optimism is matter of attitude.

Personally, I feel these may be the key points in developing positive attitude:

1. You must realize that opportunities are endless, the need is to have a look over them.

2. Focus your efforts. First decide, what are your goals and objectives then start working. Working without aim is a bird flying in air. You have to be like an arrow, which has to strike its aim.

3. Stop being competitive and start being creative. Interact more with people, don't be isolated and see everything from a neutral point of view.

4. Learn from failures. Accept failure as a part of life, don't take a failure as the end of the show. It was just one chapter, another chapter is yet to open. Every night is followed by dawn.

5. Stop complaining and start finding solutions. A solution to a problem will do better for you rather than problem itself.

Helen Keller has once said," When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us."

Ultimately, positive thinking affects the body vibrations in a positive manner. This in turn, affects the vibrations around us, which, in turn, affect the situations around us. This helps in relieving our suffering and leading a harmonious life.

Tough times never last, but tough people do...

"Tough times never last, but tough people do"

This is the title of one of my favourite books. It is one of the most inspiring books, I've ever read. The book was written by Robert Schuller.

Schuller beautifully describes that how an ordinary person can achieve success, despite several problems.

I'd like to mention few points regarding th..

1. Problems are a part of life, Every human being has problem and it is wrong to say that successful people don't have problems. A problem free life is an illusion only. So, accept the problems as a part of your life.
Schuller says,"Don't pray for an easy going life as it is not going to teach you something."

2. Every problem has a limited life span.
Every mountain has a peak and every valley has a low point. Similarly, life has its ups and downs. No one is up all the time or down all the time. Problems do get resolved in the long term. They don't last forever.
Storms are followed by sunshine. Winter is followed by spring. Your problems will get resolved given enough time.

3. Every problem has positive outlook also like every coin has two faces. What we consider as a problem may be an opportunity to grow and move further. Every cloud has a silver lining.

4. Every problem make you better.
Haven't you heard about it,"Smooth seas do not make skillful sailors." If you're fired from Job, then show your ex-bosses that they have been mistaken to fire you out, and the burning desire of achieving is still there in you.

5. You are the one who has to decide how problems affect you. Obviously you can control problems or the pain but you can control your reactions, your responses towards them. Let problems make you tougher not tender.

6. The road to success is not easy. Every successful person has faced several problems, that too several times, but he has come out of it and therefore he is successful.
We can also overcome any problem, obstacle, or adversity that life imposes on us – if we have a strong enough will. Where there is a will, there is a way.

So Friends, Just remember, the clouds of doubt will vanish away, you should be willing to fight away. The tougher the problem is, the tougher you become.
